We decided we needed a relaxing weekend. So we took Lena, Chad and Brooke up to my grandparents' cabin. It was nice and cool up there. We could see the Milky Way from the deck and there was a pond nearby for fishing. Lena has never been anything close to camping before. She was absolutely fascinated by the fire we built in the fireplace. I don't think she wanted to touch it but she loved to watch it. Here she is with Aunt Brooke watching the flames.
We took an early morning walk on Saturday and we saw lots of butterflies, birds, and a few fish (they were jumping).
We sat on the dock by the pond just to enjoy the view. Lena wanted to take a picture herself, but I know her. She just wanted to put the camera in her mouth. She was such a happy camper. We just love this girl.
